Timing and Advice

We take great pride in working closely with our clients to ensure a smooth and problem-free day. We aim to provide you with the best possible photos, however there are a few steps that you can take during the pre-wedding planning process to ensure you receive the best possible coverage. When it comes to planning the timing of your day, we recommend following our guidelines for optimal results:

  • 60-90 minutes for the bride’s and groom’s preparation coverage. We should start 60-90 minutes before you are scheduled to leave. We usually spend the first 45 minutes shooting details and candids, then the next 45 minutes shooting poses of you and your friends and family. Therefore we also suggest that you plan to get dressed 45 minutes before you are scheduled to leave.
  • If you are seeing each other for a REVEAL: we recommend at least 90 minutes for formals (bride and groom, family and wedding party) and fun photos (for less stress we recommend allowing 2 hours), plus travel time between locations.
  • 30 minutes for pre-ceremony
  • 30 minutes for post-ceremony
  • If you are not seeing each other until after the ceremony: we recommend at least 90 minutes for formals (bride and groom, family and wedding party) and fun photos (for less stress we recommend allowing 2 hours), plus travel time between locations.
  • 60 minutes for pre-reception set up, detail shots and cocktail hour candid photos.
  • For reception coverage a lot depends on your venue’s itinerary, but usually we recommend that we stay until 10pm or the third fast dance.
